Lacrosse eagerly awaits its return to the Olympics.

As lacrosse eagerly awaits its return to the Olympics to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, a team representing native North American athletes is vying to compete under its own flag. The Haudenosaunee Confederacy, a collective of tribal nations in N.Y. and Canada, has petitioned the International Olympic Committee to compete as an independent national. Backing the effort, pushing for an IOC exception: President Biden and World Lacrosse, the sports governing body.

The Haudenosaunee Nationals are a global powerhouse. The men’s team ranks No. 3 in the world, behind the U.S. and Canada. The women’s team…No. 8. Native North Americans invented and played lacrosse as early as the 12th century. Lacrosse first appeared in the 1904 Olympics, but it was dropped decades ago.

Sacheen is not just yesterday's news. Sacheen is alive and present today, and has broken her silence. Sacheen is now.

Sacheen asked One Bowl Productions @onebowlproductions to produce her film, SACHEEN, Breaking the Silence, to share her message in her own words. 1973 was Marlon Brando's time. Sacheen's time is now.
